I try to balance my posts so that I have fact-based posts to counterweight my emotional, self-reflective, angsty, narcissistic ramblings. It's been a while since I just reported the facts.
Most mornings the kids do their daily chores: clean rooms, pick up their possessions, read 2 pages from a book to me, Lulu practices piano, Porter does a scout activity from his Webelos book, and then they do one chore that's a general household chore. I wash dishes, do laundry, cook, do the dishes, and I do one other household chore. (And run errands, pay bills, unpack, blah-blah-blah.)
Friday, July 11th: The kids and I took a walk through the Nature Center
Saturday, July 12th: I saw a trainer and went to the farmers market. The kids went with Daddy to see Journey to the Center of the Earth.
Sunday, July 13th: Church. Daddy was ill, and I wrestled kids alone. They were incredibly irreverant, and I threw a tantrum that night and went to the gym to work out my anger on the treadmill.
Monday, July 14th: Met an English prof and her son at Botanica.
Tuesday, July 15th: Took Porter to the ped-endo. Went to the YMCA water park with Melissa and her four girls.
Wednesday, July 16th: Went to the North YMCA water park that features a wave pool. Took the kids to 31 Flavors.
Thursday, July 17th: Found out I am having 6 houseguests at the end of next week, so I ran to Slumberland and bought some of the furniture that I've been procrastinating buying: frame for guest bed, nightstand, twin frame and mattress for "daybed" in the craft room, living room furniture. I don't want to talk about the grand damages, but we doubled our square footage with this house, so it's been really empty. This all comes the day before my house guests arrive.
OK. I snuck in more self-absorbed chatter than I planned -- but I guess that's just part of the package with Mrs. B!
